This was revealed in the “Export Coffee Day: Relaxing Chat with West Java Coffee, Exploring Potentials to Australia and Japan” which was initiated by the Industry and Trade Office of West Java Province. The event, which was held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, virtually discussed opportunities, potentials, constraints and procedures for coffee exports to Australia and Japan.

Head of ITPC Sydney, Ayu Siti Maryam, explained the coffee market in Australia and how this opportunity could be exploited by Indonesian MSME players. Moreover, the IA CEPA agreement between Indonesia and Australia facilitates the export of Indonesian products to Australia through the elimination of import tariffs. “The opportunity for the coffee market in Australia is quite large because the culture of drinking coffee here is quite high,” said Ayu.
