Hi ITPC Partners, in today Indonesian Design Studio Session with UTS Faculty of Global Studies, we have Chef William Wongso one of Indonesia’s most famous culinary experts. We are thrilled to have him as our guest lecture. His well-renowned expertise is acknowledged worldwide. In 2001, he received the Chevalier dans I’Ordre National du Merite Award from France’s ministry of agriculture due to his role in promoting French Cuisine and gastronomy. What a legend he is!
Chef William explained that Indonesia has thousands of Islands which described the wide culinary variety from the country. There is no Indonesian Food in general, there are a variety of foods from different regions which mostly use fresh ingredient paste or dry spices. Indonesia is famous for its street vendors. He was chosen to be the guest star in season 2 Uncharted with Gordon Ramsay to cook Rendang, a prominent Indonesian dish. Sounds delicious right?
The students were very interested in exploring more Indonesian food now! So, Let’s make Rendang and nasi goreng!
