Indonesian Coffee Cupping Session at ITPC Sydney Office

ITPC Sydney News,

Hi ITPC Sydney partners, did you know that on average, Australians consume 1.96 kilograms of coffee per person in a year? In order to promote and introduce the taste of robusta and arabica coffee beans from Indonesia, ITPC Sydney held a coffee cupping session. This event was attended by roasters and coffee connoisseurs in Sydney, Australia on 18, 25 November and 2 December 2021.

This event is the result of a collaboration between ITPC Sydney, Opal Coffee and The Q Coffee. In order to introduce the variety and characteristics of Indonesian coffee, we use various types of green beans samples from the islands of Java, Bali, Sumatra and Sulawesi. In 2020, coffee exports from Indonesia to Australia increased by 25.73% from the previous year. We hope that this positive trend can continue to be enhanced, with the entry into force of the IA-CEPA agreement, the opportunity for Indonesian coffee to enter Australia is wide open.
