[ITPC Sydney – NEWS] ITPC Sydney partners, did you know that based on data from the Australian Department of Home Affairs for the period 2018-2019, the top three professions for skilled jobs for temporary residents of Australia are chefs, cooks and accountants? As for skill flow migration, the top three professions are software and application programmers, accountants, and cooks.
This was explained by Mr. Iskandar Panjaitan, Director of Service Negotiations, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia in an online and offline discussion with the theme “Services Trade in IA-CEPA: What are the Opportunities?” which will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at ITPC Sydney. The discussion event was attended by 50 online participants and 30 offline participants from the business diaspora in the IT, cargo and importer sectors.
The discussion opened with a report on the implementation by the General Chairperson of IBC NSW, Mr. Joesef Rusta, followed by opening remarks by Ambassador R.I. for Australia and the Republic of Vanuatu, H.E. Kristiarto S. Legowo. In his remarks, the Indonesian Ambassador conveyed three important points regarding the latest developments in Indonesia-Australia bilateral relations, Indonesia-Australia economic relations, and service trade opportunities between the two countries.
This discussion presented four speakers, namely Iskandar Panjaitan, Director of Service Negotiations, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia; Grace Hartono, Founder, Director and Practitioner of Neuro Network; Edy Saputra, Founder of Saputra Group; and Agung Wicaksono, Trade Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, and moderated by Ayu Siti Maryam, Director of ITPC Sydney.
“IA CEPA provides an opportunity so that the service sector industry in Indonesia is more advanced and developed,” explained Agung Wicaksono.
The Indonesian diaspora in Australia also shared their experiences in using services and expertise from Indonesia, such as digital marketers, accountants, bookkeeping, and praising. “But keep in mind that this area is very competitive, so please maintain and improve your skills, all of you,” said Grace Hartono.
